Aurora, IL June 6, 2016 Kim Whitehouse, the founder of Aurora, IL based Send A Smile Today has been selected as a 2016 Ford Warriors in Pink Chicago Models of Courage. Whitehouse, a 5 year breast cancer survivor, is one of 20 women and men in Chicago that Ford is recognizing this year.

A key part of the mission of Ford Warriors in Pink is to help identify the day-to-day realities of breast cancer and take action to give breast cancer patients more good days. Most breast cancer patients find themselves overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling alone categorizing their days by good days and bad days. While many people want to help, most are unsure of the best way to show their support.

I am proud to help play a role in bringing much needed advice, resources, and comfort to those dealing with this disease. said Whitehouse. As survivors and thrivers, we have tremendous power to spread the word that good days matter during breast cancer treatment. Together, our personal stories will raise awareness about the power of good days and inspire others to help make a difference in the lives of those battling the disease.
